We are thrilled to announce a series of exciting updates and improvements to enhance your experience on VenusChat.AI
Our team has been working hard to bring you a more modern, user-friendly, and secure platform.
We feel that this version of Venus is what our original vision for the site was when we had our initial relaunch, We consider this to be VenusChat.AI 1.0.0. This is the baseline of our website experience and we have a ton of features planned beyond this.
Visual Redesign

Desktop
Color Scheme
We’ve updated the color palette to be more contemporary and appealing. Expect a vibrant yet soothing visual experience.
Typography
New fonts have been chosen to improve readability and aesthetics. These fonts are designed to make your reading and interaction more comfortable and visually pleasing.
Icons and Graphics
A large amount of icons and graphical elements have been redesigned. The new graphics are sleek, modern, and perfectly aligned with our updated color scheme.
Layout
The layout has been reorganized for improved navigation and flow. We’ve made the Character List easier to use and less cluttered. Finding what you need will be quicker and easier, enhancing your overall user experience.
Navigation Improvements
The Sidebar (Desktop)
The desktop sidebar now contains the Venus AI Logo functioning as a Home button
The Main Menu features quick and easy access to Home, Your list of all chats, all of your characters, and your profile
We have moved your Recent Chats to below the Main Menu. This creates extra space for the Character grid. We plan on taking advantage of this extra space in the future for featuring special characters and other events.
We have also added a quick and easy Logout button for those that have multiple accounts or want to secure their account when sharing a device with other friends or family.
Bottom Navigation (Mobile)
We recognize that a large majority of our users access our site from their phones. We have been long overdue for a usable Bottom Navigation menu for Mobile so that you can easily access different pages inches away from your thumb.
We have also added in a Create button allowing you to quickly make a new character.
Expanded Search Bar
Originally, We just had an icon for search and hoped for the best. We have now added in the full search bar so new users can quickly and easily search for their favorite characters on the platform.
In the near future, we’re continuing to iterate on the search system including an overhaul on the tagging system.
The “For Creators” Philosophy
We’ve noticed across the different Roleplay Chatbot websites that the choices these teams are making are hyper-focused on the roleplay performance experience directly.
We feel that this leaves a lot of Creators feeling like their works are not protected. There are many Creators who write characters that are carefully crafted with deep investment and planning into their writing. Not all Creators care about hiding the details of their characters, but many do. The following changes reflect our first steps in protected the creative works of Creators.
Character Visibility Settings
Hide/Show Character Definitions
Users now have the option to hide or show character definitions from character view. This gives you more control over how your characters are presented. Previously all Creators who uploaded their characters to the public would be required to disclose all of the definitions for their characters, leaving themselves open others stealing their characters and claiming them as their own.
List/Unlist Characters
Creators can now unlist characters. If a character is unlisted, it can only be accessed through a provided link and cannot be viewed in the characters list or searched. This feature offers more privacy and control over your characters’ visibility.
We expect Creators to utilize this feature for more along the lines of testing or privately sharing their characters with their friends. We foresee Creators mainly using this to have their friends help test how their characters are behaving with different Users.
Profile Generation
Changing your username
Newly registered users will now have a default Username and Character name. Please note that the Username can only be updated once every 30 days.
We have noticed some issues with users signing up for premium or having characters understand who they’re talking to. With default names being generated, we expect responses to look more clean for people who haven’t set a Username yet.
Many users have expressed wanting to be able to change their username, However we recognize that some people might abuse this, so we have imposed a 30 day cooldown on changing your username.
Security
Image Restrictions
Previously, Creators were able to embed images in the initial message of their character by utilizing an Image URL. This leaves users vulnerable to loading images from foreign URLs without their knowledge or consent.
To enhance security, we’ve disabled this feature but we recognize that many people want to include a custom image on the initial message.
We have added the ability to directly upload an image file to display after the text of your initial message, now opening up the opportunity for more Creators to add an image. We hope this will result in more Creators adding images to create a more immersive starting experience to roleplay for users.
